Week 4 – Reigniting a Sense of Purpose

This week, your Memoir will focus on early impulses and ideas you followed—or ignored—as you began to form your adult identity. Many times, early clues and interests contain the answers to the question “What would make me happy?” Excavating these memories, you are likely to reconnect with a core impetus that will guide you in choosing activities that give you a sense of purpose. You will look at historical touchstones that define you and carry meaning for you. You may find yourself inspired to muse on the type of legacy you are leaving—and the type you would like to leave. Your early dreams may inspire you to support others in turn.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.  —  George Eliot
